Kos Marina is located one mile SE of Kos old harbour (Coordinates: 36° 53' N 27° 18' E) and offers 250 berths with Mooring lines, water supply, electricity supply 220 & 380 V from 16 to 125 Amp, telephone lines and Satellite TV. Kos Marina is patrolled 24 hours a day by guards and cameras cover all the Marina area. Fire Precaution. All piers are equipped with fire hose reel cabinets with fresh and seawater circuit, fire extinguishers and alarm system. All piers are equipped with emergency stations comprising lifebuoys, lifelines, emergency telephones and rescue ladders. Kos town Marina offers you the following facilities & services: Pilot speedboat, WC-showers, trolleys, parking lot, bilge pump out systems, sewage pump out systems, waste oil disposal, refuse containers, and fuel station. Administration Building with Reception, Authorities, Info Centre, Meeting room & Guest Suites. Weather report, Internet, telephone and fax services are offered at Marina's Info Centre, where meetings and events can be organized. ATM, Baggage storage and Postal services are available. Shopping centre with Cafeteria-bistro, Restaurant, Super Market, Fruit Market, Laundry, Yachts Chandlers Shops, Safety Equipment, Souvenir shops, Boutique, Rent a car, Yacht Brokers, Yachting & Travel Agencies. Technical Services: An wide range of technical services (yacht paint & antifouling, mechanical-Electrical-Electronic repairs, yacht cleaning services, sail maker, etc.) is available upon request. Only approved technical service contractors are allowed to operate in the Marina.
Therma beach is located 7km past Psalidi area and about 8km from Kos town. Therma is extraordinary, due to the hot water (that’s where the name came from) coming from the mountain which is beneficial for visitors. The hot springs are a real treasure containing elements such as Potassium, Sodium, Calcium, Magnesium, Sulfur and Chlorine that are ideal treatments against rheumatism, arthritis and all gynecological related conditions. The beach and its hot springs were discovered in 1934 by the Italian archaeologist Laourentsi. Therma is a pleasant beach positioned between large rocks and hidden from the rest of the world, but attracts many people not only during summer months but also in winter because of the hot water. Access to the beach: via bus, that serves the area daily, by car, by taxi, motorbike and bicycle.
Psalidi beach is only a short distance from Kos town (about 3.5 km) and is one of the most popular beaches. It has many hotels and rooms to let most of which are located near the beach. It also has many fish taverns and restaurants with Greek and international cuisine. Most of the beaches have sun beds, umbrellas and well-organized water sport centers are available. Psalidi beach is ideal for surfing due to its location and during the summer you can find big groups of surfers almost on a daily basis. At Psalidi you can also visit Agios Fokas beach, an extremely well organized beach famous for its blue waters and beautiful view. There you will enjoy the most beautiful sunsets. Access to the beach is very easy by bus which runs frequently, by car, taxi, motorbike and bicycle.
